Lil Mosey, 19, released a new single “Not The Same God As Mine” Friday after teasing it on Instagram two days before.
The single features Mosey’s signature melodic flow supported by a soulful, hypnotic beat. With no featured performers, Mosey holds your attention and the song is well-paced, not overstaying its welcome and going on too long.
“Not The Same God As Mine” was released with a music video featuring Mosey delivering his lines while walking pensively around beautiful natural locales, sometimes alone and sometimes joined by unidentified companions.
The video ends with Mosey being guided to a secluded stream and baptizing himself in the water with the help of a friend in slow-motion. The video ends with text reading: “Can’t lose your sense of gratitude when things you prayed for become regular.”
Lil Mosey first gained fame when the video of his first commercial single “Pull Up” reached 25 million YouTube views in the first 16 months of its release.
His career has not been without issues, however. In April 2021, Mosey was charged with one count of second-degree rape in Lewis County, Washington. He is expected to go on trial on January 24, 2022.
