Police in Amsterdam are using a novel method to help them crack a years-old cold case: displaying a life-sized hologram of the murdered adult worker Bernadett “Betty” Szabo in the city’s Red Light district.
The hologram shows Szabo, who was killed in 2009 aged 19, asking passers-by for help.
Szabo was found in a pool of blood in the early hours of Feb. 19, 2009.
The Hungarian teenager, who played the violin, left her home in Nyíregyháza at 18 for Amsterdam, where she started a new life as an adult worker in the city to earn money.
The hologram features as part of a week-long campaign aimed at solving the case, police said.
