Liam Payne Discharged From The Hospital After A Serious Kidney Infection

Liam Payne‘s girlfriend gave fans some news on his health condition since he was treated for a “serious kidney infection” last month.

Kate Cassidy posted that Payne had been released from the hospital and was recovering at home in a TikTok.

“So I’ve gotten a lot of comments about Liam asking how he’s doing, and I just want to let everybody know that he’s doing so much better,” Cassidy explained while getting ready for London Fashion Week. “He is out of the hospital and he is in good hands.”

Payne has a son, Bear, with singer Cheryl Tweedy, who he broke up with in 2018.

The report comes after the singer was forced to delay his South American tour, along with a concert in Mexico, because of the health scare.

“It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America,” Payne captioned an Instagram post from August. “Over the past week, I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection. It’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctor’s orders are that I now need to rest and recover.”

“To all of you who have bought tickets: I’m so sorry,” he continued. “We’re working to re-schedule the tour as soon as we possibly can, but for now we will be refunding the tickets – so please look out for updates from your point of purchase.”

Payne has had kidney issues since he was a child.

The singer recently apologized for comments he made on Logan Paul‘s podcast, which led him to take a six-month social media break.

“I just needed to take a little time out for myself actually because I kind of became someone who I didn’t really recognize anymore and I’m sure you guys didn’t either,” he said.
