Payne has claimed that the pictures purported to be of him are fake. On Twitter, Payne shut down the possibility that the pictures were of him, seeming somewhat incredulous that people would believe that it was him in the compromising picture with another man in the background.

"Wow as if people think that weird photo going around is actually me lol,” Payne tweeted, adding, “Think id rather tweet a full frontal than have people look at that."
