The Liam Neeson–Mel Gibson brawl has been postponed.
Neeson, 58, who recently snatched up a cameo in The Hangover sequel after Gibson was reportedly booted off the film, says he had no idea about the mix-up. “Apparently, yes [the part was Mel’s] — I didn’t realize it at the time,” Neeson told Access Hollywood. "I spoke to Mel. Mel's cool about it. We're all cool."
The actor also noted that he and Gibson had some history together. "Mel and I did a movie together about 20 or 25 years ago," the actor said, referring to the 1984 movie, The Bounty. "It was a long time ago. So, we know each other." Casting confusion aside, Neeson seemed excited to be a part of the new Hangover film, in which he'll supposedly play a Bangkok tattoo artist.
“I saw [The Hangover] in Berlin,” he said. “It was one of those nights flicking through channels and it came on and I don’t think I’ve laughed harder in my life.” –AMY LEE
