Liam Hemsworth revealed that he is not engaged to Miley Cyrus, in a new interview released on Friday.
“I am not engaged, no,” Hemsworth told TV Week Australia.
Hemsworth first proposed to Cyrus in June 2012 after three years of dating, but the couple called off the engagement in September 2013 and remained friends.
Speculation around the couple’s renewed romance began after Cyrus visited Hemsworth in Australia for New Year’s. Later, she was frequently seen wearing her 2012 engagement ring.
The Hunger Games star also spoke about why he’s been keeping a low profile lately.
“I just don’t leave my home,” Hemsworth said. “For the last few months because I had a back injury, I really couldn’t do much. So I have honestly been at my house most of the time.”
While the pair aren’t officially engaged, they appear to be seriously dating.
Cyrus reportedly purchased a four-bedroom home in Malibu to share with Hemsworth.
“The plan is for Liam to stay there while they reconnect, and then move in permanently when he’s ready,” a source told Us Weekly.
