Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have split yet again.
The 29-year-old Australian actor filed for divorce from the 26-year-old singer in Los Angeles on Wednesday after just seven months of marriage. Cyrus and Hemsworth cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, although no official separation date is known as of yet. The couple reportedly have a prenup, so neither of the two celebs will receive spousal support.

It’s also likely not coincidental that news of the couple’s separation comes after Cyrus was spotted kissing television personality Brody Jenner‘s ex-wife and former The Hills co-star Kaitylnn Carter on a boat in Italy. Photos of the two women smooching quickly went viral. Many reports said they were “just having fun,” although the former Hannah Montana star reportedly wasn’t wearing her wedding ring at the time of this incident.
Cyrus and Carter further drew attention after a source for Page Six said the pair were “basically having sex” at a club in West Hollywood on Friday.
“They were obsessed with each other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” the source said. “They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There’s no question they’re together.”
Hemsworth and Cyrus have been on and off for several years. The pair first met on the set of the 2010 romantic film The Last Song and were briefly engaged in 2012 after more than two years of dating. However, they split in 2013 and got back together in 2016 and became engaged in the fall of that year.
Cyrus most recently starred in an episode of the fifth season of the Netflix series Black Mirror, while Hemsworth — the younger brother of Avengers: Endgame and Men In Black: International star Chris Hemsworth — appeared alongside Rebel Wilson earlier this year in the romantic comedy Isn’t it Romantic?
