Liam Gallagher of Oasis made a surprise appearance at the One Love Manchester benefit concert, and called out his brother Noel Gallagher for not showing up.
Ariana Grande and a horde of celebrities performed at the One Love Manchester benefit concert on Sunday, just weeks after a terrorist bombing occurred at her May 22 Manchester concert, killing 22. Oasis, originally formed in Manchester, broke up in 2009, but Liam performed on stage with Coldplay for the benefit.
Liam and Noel, who both performed in Oasis, have not spoken since the band split, but Liam called out his brother for not attending the benefit. Liam wrote tweeted out that his brother decided to stay on a family vacation in Italy instead of performing.
“Manchester id like to apologise for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay beautiful stay safe LG x,” wrote the singer, before blasting his brother. “Noels out of the f–king country weren’t we all love get on a f–king plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f–k.”
There had been rumors circling before the concert that Liam and Noel might reunite to sing “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” but ironically they couldn’t get over their years old grudge. “All of these people saying we should get back together, I’m ready to go man!” Liam said last week. “It’s all down to him. I’m not putting the blame on him but he’s the one who doesn’t want it. I don’t hold grudges, you know what I mean?”
Liam’s ex, Lisa Moorish, joined the conversation to stick up for Noel and slam Liam. “Maybe he’s busy looking after his kids and the daughter you’ve never even met! AS YOU WERE x LM,” she wrote on Twitter. “It has to be said! X.”
Liam has four children with three different women, and has admitted that he doesn’t have a relationship with his daughter with Moorish, Molly, 20. Noel has not responded to the backlash from his brother.
