Saturday Night Live funnywoman Leslie Jones, 50, will take her love for the Olympics to South Korea with NBC.
Jones will once again be a contributor for NBC for its coverage of the Olympic Games. The comedian will travel to PyeongChang, South Korea, as she did during 2016’s Rio Summer Olympic Games. “Experiencing the Olympics through the lens of Leslie is unlike anything else,” Jim Bell, president of NBC Olympics production and programming, said in a statement. “Her passion for Team USA is contagious, and her adventures in South Korea should be fascinating.”
Jones confirmed the news on social media herself while donning patriotic Team USA gear from head to toe. “Slay all day baby!” she said while working out on the elliptical machine. “I’m skiing. Ya’ll know what the hell’s going on, you know what I’m doing. Slay all day 2018!”
The official NBC Olympics Twitter page also posted a montage of Jones’ best moments from Rio with the caption, “Who’s ready for a @Lesdoggg and @ShaunWhite reunion?”
In 2016, Jones’ Twitter feed was the unofficial place to find information about and from the Games. The Olympics begin on Feb. 8 on NBC.
