Lea Michele made such a good impression on the Sons of Anarchy set that the FX show is reportedly looking to expand her role on the series’ final season from just the one episode.

Lea Michele On 'Sons of Anarchy'

Director Paris Barclay, who worked with Michele as she filmed scenes for Sons of Anarchy, sang the Glee star’s praises. “We love her," told E! News. “We’re tying to find a way to bring her back.”

The hardest part about having Michele on set, according to Barclay, was making her look less glamorous to play the truck-stop waitress Gertie. “It was tough," Barclay, who’s also worked with Michele on Glee, admitted. "It had to do with makeup and wardrobe. She looks a little bigger. We didn't pad her up but she looks a little bigger than she normally does. Lighting has to do with it, too."

Michele’s character Gertie, “is an empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma (Jax's mother, played by Katey Sagal) during a difficult time," a rep for FX told E! News.

Back in July, Michele was captured filming her scene with Sagal, smoking outside on a bench with the veteran actress. On Twitter, Michele gushed about working with Sagal.

Sons of Anarchy’s final season will kick off Tuesday, Sept. 9 on FX at 10/9c.
