Lea Michele, known for her roles on Broadway and in the hit TV series Glee, has announced the birth of her second child with husband Zandy Reich. The couple welcomed a daughter, Emery Sol Reich, as revealed in a heartwarming social media post on Monday.

Michele, 37, shared a photograph of the newborn swaddled in a blanket, surrounded by her family. “Our hearts are so full,” the actress wrote, expressing the joy of their expanded family.

The couple’s first child, son Ever Leo Reich, is now four years old. Michele had publicly announced her pregnancy in March, sharing images of her growing baby bump and noting the family’s excitement about the new addition.

In a Mother’s Day post earlier this year, Michele disclosed she was expecting a girl, writing, “The most beautiful Mother’s Day today, holding my son who made me a mama…and carrying my daughter.”

However, the road to this pregnancy was not without challenges. In a recent interview on the “BDA Baby” podcast hosted by Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, Michele opened up about her struggles with fertility. The actress revealed she had experienced three miscarriages and undergone surgery before successfully conceiving her daughter.

Michele described the shock and pain of her first two miscarriages, which occurred in quick succession. “I had never had a miscarriage before,” she told Schwarzenegger Pratt. “The first one, I was like, ‘That was weird.’ When it happened again right away, I was like, ‘Wait a second. Something is wrong.'”

After a third miscarriage, which Michele described as “super challenging” and “very painful,” she decided to seek medical answers. Subsequent doctor visits led to a diagnosis of endometriosis, a condition that can affect fertility.

The actress detailed the extensive medical interventions she underwent, including surgery and numerous medications and injections, before finally achieving a successful pregnancy.
