Glee actress Lea Michele will soon be making a dramatic turn on FX series Sons of Anarchy.
Before revealing her Sons of Anarchy role, Michele tweeted, “Woke up so excited today! Fun news to share…” She followed the tease up with the announcement, writing, “I'll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar [director Paris Barclay] & @sutterink [SOA creator Kurt Sutter] #SOAFX.”
On the series, which stars Charlie Hunnam as motorcycle club leader Jax Teller, Michele will play a truck stop waitress named Gertie.
“[Gertie] is an empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma (Jax's mother, played by Katey Sagal) during a difficult time," a rep for FX told E! News.
In addition to Michele, Sons of Anarchy will be welcoming a number of other high-profile guest stars for the show’s final season. Courtney Love will play a preschool teacher, and musician Marilyn Manson will have an arc playing imprisoned white supremacist Ron Tully.
Sons of Anarchy's final season premieres Tuesday, Sept. 9 on FX at 10/9c.
They emphasized, “There won’t be another deal. There may be one-offs, but that’s it.”
