Lea Michele took to Instagram Tuesday to share with her fans and followers images of the two new tattoos she recently had done – one in memory of her grandmother, and one in memory of her late boyfriend Cory Monteith.

“I lost my beautiful grandma this week.. She wasn’t your typical grandma. She gave me my first cup of coffee when I was 8 years old,” Michele captioned the picture of the small tattoo of a cup of coffee on her right-hand ring finger. “She said something inappropriate to every boyfriend I’ve ever had. She never made pie or knit me a sweater. But she was my grandma and I loved her… More than anything.. I love you Grandma.”
On her right side, Michele got a tattoo of the number 5, which was Monteith’s Glee character Finn Hudson’s football jersey number. “And one more.. for my Quarterback.. #5,” Michele wrote.
Michele and Monteith had gone public with their real life relationship in 2012 following several months of speculation that the two were more than friends. They were still a couple when Monteith died of an accidental drug overdose on July 13, 2013.
After losing Monteith, Michele eventually ended up starting a new relationship with model and dancer Matthew Paetz. After two years of dating, the pair split in February of this year.
