Lea Michele broke her silence today, personally addressing the tragic death of boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith on Twitter.
Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart. pic.twitter.com/XVlZnh9vOc

Michele thanked fans for their support, accompanying a picture of the sweet couple smiling together on the beach, writing, “Cory will forever be in my heart.”
Michele has been silent on the matter since Monteith passed away on July 13 of a drug overdose. Though her reps have released statements asking fans and media to respect her privacy while she grieves, Michele herself did not come out with a public statement until now. Co-stars and friends, such as Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch, Naya Rivera, Harry Shum. Jr. and Chord Overstreet have already spoken publicly about their loss.
Michele and Ryan Murphy hosted a memorial for Monteith on the Glee Paramount lot last week, and will be returning to work in the coming weeks. Glee plans on shooting three new episodes of the show, the third of which will serve as a tribute to Monteith, before taking a hiatus. Subsequently, the first three episodes of Glee’s fifth season will air in the fall, with the following episodes presumably airing at a later date.
