At a concert in Detroit on June 4, R&B singer Lauryn Hill revealed to the audience that she is expecting her sixth child. Hill has five other children with her longtime partner Rohan Marley, ranging in ages from 14 to three years old. Pregnancy rumors circulated in April after Hill performed at Coachella with what appeared to be a baby bump. She further hinted to fans at a concert at L.A.’s club Nokia, where she said, “I don’t know if I’m the most fertile woman in America. I’ve got five big children, you believe that?”

Hill gained fame as a singer of The Fugees (which included Wyclef Jean) but rocketed to R&B stardom with her debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. That album won five Grammy awards, but Hill never recorded a follow-up and only played concerts sporadically. Hill began performing concerts more regularly last year, leaving fans hoping for an album. In Detroit, Hill told the crowd “I'm going to be taking time off to give birth,” which has led to speculation that any plans for her long anticipated second album may be put on hold.
