Lauren Marbe’s astounding IQ of 161 was revealed after she took a Mensa brain test with fellow high-achieving high school students.

Marbe, native to Essex, England, is just 16-years-old and enjoys tanning, getting manicures and going to parties. Although she’s a straight-A student, no one, including Marbe, expected her to achieve a score higher than that alleged of Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates.

“I was one of the last people to get my result and everybody before me had got around the 130 mark so that was the kind of result I was expecting," Marbe told The Telegraph. “My teachers knew I was quite clever because of my grades but they had always thought I was blonde and a bit ditzy. Now they keep saying, ’I didn’t realize you were that clever.'"

While her scores are no doubt impressive, academics are stressing prudence is attributing this young woman with a genius greater than some of the world’s most renowned prodigies. Einstein, Hawking and Gates have never actually sat and taken an IQ – their scores are all estimated at around the 160 mark. Furthermore, IQ scoring is not an exact science. "Even with a test result in hand, the number can vary from exam to exam," writes Business Insider reporter Robert Johnson. Some, including people at Mensa U.K., believe that IQ percentiles would give a more accurate picture of intelligence.

Regardless, Marbe’s IQ test score is excellent, and will no doubt see her gain admittance into the college of her choice – which is reportedly Cambridge.
