Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, has been slammed on social media for declaring that presidential debates have always been “rigged” in President Joe Biden’s favor.

Early on May 15, Biden and Trump agreed to participate in a presidential debate on CNN on June 27 and a second debate on ABC on September 10.

Lara said during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity that “the scales have always been tipped against Donald Trump.”

Hannity condemned the forthcoming debates. Trump had said that he was willing to debate Biden under any conditions. The host demanded “no notes” and “no teleprompters.”

Despite this, Lara hinted that Trump is ready to take on his opponent.

“And this year more than ever, with all the lawfare, with all we’ve seen against him — in some crazy way, Sean, they’ve actually prepared him for this moment because he’s not afraid of anything they throw his way,” she told Hannity, about the four criminal indictments her father-in-law is facing.

“It’s rigged so heavily in Joe Biden’s favor, but everything always is,” the co-chair of the Republican National Committee argued. “Despite that and even the judicial system at this point, he is beating Joe Biden in every poll out there. It’s amazing to see.”

“So, if Joe Biden shows up on June 27 and doesn’t come up with an excuse like he has to wash his hair or something, I have full confidence that Donald Trump will outperform him,” Lara stated.

Lara also accused the media of conspiring to rig debates favoring Biden.

“They’re trying to collude,” she declared. “The media mob and Joe Biden, they dictate all the conditions, all the rules, and Donald Trump gets no say. Sorry, that’s not how it’s ever worked, and that’s not fair Americans will see right through that.”

Many people shared the Fox News clip of the interview on X and mocked Lara for not having waited one day to complain about these two presidential debates.

“The debates haven’t even been fully scheduled, and Trump supporters are already trying to make excuses why he will lose,” one person wrote in an X post. “It’s sad! Why can’t the GOP have a candidate that everyone is confident will win regardless of circumstances?”

“I don’t think the Trump family knows what the word rigged means,” another user stated jokingly. “Someone tell them to point to it on a globe and see what happens.”

During a February South Carolina campaign, Lara stated that she believes GOP donors would support the RNC paying her father-in-law’s legal fees.

She also mentioned that GOP voters might want to see the committee pay for Trump’s legal fees if they perceive his cases as political persecution.

In late March, Lara released a new song, “Anything Is Possible,” which was met with harsh criticism—even from most of her followers on X.
