Lamar Odom Drug Abuse Scandal: Top Hollywood Crisis Manager Called In [EXCLUSIVE]
Lamar Odom’s alleged drug binge has not only encouraged concern for the professional basketball player’s well being, but has spiraled into a PR nightmare for both Odom and the Kardashian family. Attempting to get control of the situation and its portrayal in the media, high-profile crisis manager Hunter Frederick has been summoned, Uinterview has learned exclusively.
An insider told Uinterview that a West Hollywood PR firm connected to Odom and the Kardashian family appears to have hired Frederick, which the source said would be an “interesting” development. Another individual in the know explained exactly what Frederick’s specialty is.
“I just heard that Hunter Frederick who is a crisis manager in PR just left the office today,” the source told Celebdirtylaundry.com. “Hunter has done consulting for us with some of our clients who have drug and alcohol abuse handling media and securely getting them into rehab.”
“When publicists call him in we know that there is a real problem and it’s not just gossip,” the source added.
Odom returned to his home with his wife Khloe Kardashian earlier this week, but is still resistant to the idea of returning to rehab, reported TMZ. Kardashian is reportedly determined to stay by her husband’s side and help him kick his addiction to crack cocaine and Oxycontin.
Less forgiving than Odom’s wife, are the Los Angeles Clippers, who had been contemplating resigning the forward as a veteran for the upcoming season before they got wind of his recent drug relapse. "Up until about two years ago, Lamar Odom was averaging about 15 points and eight rebounds a game and you know what? You deal with his off-court problems for that,” NFL insider Seth Burton told People. “When Lamar Odom averages four points a game, he's not worth the problems."
