Lady Gaga surprised everyone by announcing her new single at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival yesterday.

Gaga dropped the new single on Saturday night, 45 minutes into her set. The new song, “The Cure,” is not a part of her latest album Joanne.

Gaga told the crowd: “I’ve been so excited for this next part of the show because I’ve been trying to keep it a secret for so long. I’ve been in the studio and I’d like to debut a brand new song, ‘The Cure.’”

She added: “I love you guys so much. I have been through so much in my life and I’ve seen so much. And you cure me every time with your love.”

Gaga worked on the new single with ARTPOP collaborator DJ White Shadow. The song seems to be a flashback to Gaga’s earlier hits.

Fans who attended the concert loved the song and its upbeat rhythm. Many took to social media to share their impressions.

Gaga also performed a string of her classic hits at Coachella, including “Bad Romance,” “Poker Face” and “The Edge Of Glory,” as well as a dance remix of last single “Million Reasons.”
