Lady Gaga To Be Featured At Super Bowl, Grammys And Oscars

February’s a big month for televised events, and this year’s February will be a big month for Lady Gaga. The singer will be singing the “Star-Spangled Banner” for Super Bowl 50, delivering a tribute to David Bowie later this month for the Grammy Awards, and performing her nominated song, “Til It Happens To You,” from The Hunting Ground, at the Oscars. She is also nominated at both the Grammys and the Oscars.

The classically trained Lady Gaga rose to fame because of her over-the-top style and dance pop radio hits. She revealed her training in her shockingly sweet Sound of Music tribute in the Oscars last year to those who hadn’t stalked videos of her early career before Stefani Germanotta became Lady Gaga and missed her duet album with 89-year-old Tony Bennett.

The National Football League rarely picks artists known for their controversy, as those who fumble the national anthem are highly scrutinized by their viewers.

Academy Award winning Marlee Matlin will perform the national anthem in sign language alongside Gaga.

In mid-February, Gaga will be leading a tribute to Bowie during this year’s Grammys. The Recording Academy said that Gaga will be performing a “a multisensory treatment to the icon’s incredible artistry and a reflection of his limitless creativity.”

Lady Gaga is one of the many artists that claims Bowie as a major inspiration. There is much outcry over this decision with Slate‘s Christina Cautericci writing, “She is not, however she might like to style herself, this generation’s answer to David Bowie.”

Gaga will end the month with the Academy Awards. Check out the tear-jerking video for her powerful song here:

Moving on to March, Gaga will be turning 30 and probably preparing for her next album release, coming some time in 2016.
