Lady Gaga took a stand in front of Trump Tower early Wednesday morning in protest, holding a sign that said #LoveTrumpsHate.
Gaga has been a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton throughout her campaign, but particularly in the weeks leading up to election day. She attended and participated in multiple rallies and events and used her social media presence to encourage fans to vote for Hillary. Clinton “has a career in politics that spans decades of experience, education, leadership, and wisdom. She’s ready to be president,” Gaga said at a rally last week. “She kept going and she kept fighting for women’s rights. She kept fighting for the care of our children. She kept fighting for those that are in need.”
On Tuesday night when the elections results started rolling in and it became obvious that Trump would prevail, Gaga took to Twitter to share her thoughts of hope and love. She also changed her Twitter username from #VoteForHillary to #CountryOfKindness.
Gaga uploaded a black and photo of her protest at Trump Tower as well.
