Lady Gaga To Play Donatella Versace In ‘American Crime Story’ Season Three

After collaborating on two seasons of American Horror Story, creator Ryan Murphy and Lady Gaga will work together again on the third season of American Crime Story.

After the massive success of the first season of ACS, The People v OJ Simpson, Murphy is busy concurrently filming the second and third seasons of the series. The third will focus on the murder of fashion mogul Gianni Versace. He was killed by serial killer Andrew Cunanan in 1997.

His sister, Donatella Versace, took control of the family business and has been in charge of the Italian fashion house ever since. Lady Gaga, who is friends with Donatella in real life, will play the fashionista. Gaga’s track “Donatella” on her album Artpop was named after Versace.

The second season of ACS will premiere in 2017, and the third will come in 2018.
