Lady Gaga announced plans to record a duet with Cyndi Lauper to promote AIDS awareness, the diva told the Today Show Wednesday morning. Both were on the show to promote their new MAC cosmetics campaign – each has their own shade of lipstick with all the proceeds going to AIDS charities.
This may not be the only duet the peripatetic Lady has up her sleeve. At the Grammy’s last month, Lady Gaga’s father swapped numbers with Britney Spears and suggested a collaboration with his daughter. “Gaga has made no secret of just how much of a Britney fan she is,” a source told the British newspaper The Sun. “She was delighted when she found her dad chatting away to Britney at the party… at the end of the chat, they exchanged numbers and agreed to go into the studio and work on music together as soon as Gaga finishes her Fame Monster tour."
