Lady Gaga performed at an event for the Democratic National Convention in Camden, New Jersey, on Thursday night.

Lady Gaga DNC Event

Gaga was the special guest at the DNC’s Camden Rising event, which took place across the Delaware River from the convention in Philadelphia. She joined the likes of Lenny Kravitz and DJ Jazzy Jeff at the all-star concert, where she was introduced by Sen. Cory Booker, who previously served as the mayor of Newark, New Jersey.

In his introduction of the pop singer, Booker said, “She is a person of extraordinary light, but she does not cast any shadows, adding, “She is a person that uses her star power to illuminate all corners of or country. She is a person with an amazing voice, but she inspires us to speak out and sing out.”

During her set, Gaga covered songs by Neil Young and Phil Ochs, and tackled the Beatles’ “Come Together.” She also played a medley of her own tracks, which included stripped-down piano versions of “Bad Romance” and “You & I.” Gaga concluded her set with Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose.”

On Instagram, Gaga shared a pair of pictures from the event. “Thank you #DNC and Camden for a beautiful night,” she captioned one.
