Lady Gaga announced Thursday that she will be delivering one of the musical performances during the Academy Awards this year.
Lady Gaga revealed the Oscar news on Instagram with a video, captioning it, “I’m performing live at the OSCARS this year!”
Oscar producer Craig Zadan promised “a very special performance” by Gaga at the award show, though declined to mention what song the pop icon will be singing or whom she’ll be honoring. Zadan did, however, share a picture of Gaga at rehearsals.
“Lady Gaga is a once-in-a-lifetime artist whose musical evolution keeps growing,” Zadan and his producer parter Neil Meron said in a release. “We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time.”
Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, John Legend and Rita Ora will perform as well. While it’s unknown what Hudson will sing, the latter three will perform their Oscar-nominated songs.
