Lady Gaga Gearing Up For High-Flying Act At Super Bowl Halftime Show

This year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performer Lady Gaga is getting ready for some dangerous stunts for the show.

LADY GAGA: NOT BANNED FROM TALKING ABOUT TRUMP

On Feb. 5, Gaga plans to sing from atop the Houston’s NRG Stadium, which has a closed dome roof. “They’re writing up multiple plans about how to safely get her on the roof, including potentially [cutting] a hole in the ceiling of the dome,” a source told the Telegraph. “Trying to figure out insurance for it is crazy.”

Gaga also wants to be joisted up into various positions above the field during her 15-minute set at halftime. The show organizers, as well as the NFL, are panicking about how to make Gaga’s requests happen.

The NFL has also opted to deny reports that the League has banned the singer from bringing politics into the show. While Gaga has made no announcement of any plan to discuss Donald Trump in her performance, a source recently told Entertainment Tonight that, “Lady Gaga was told by the NFL that she cannot say anything or bring anything up about the election, or mention Donald Trump.”

Gaga has a very outspoken liberal track record, and advocated on behalf of Hillary Clinton during the election. She protested Trump, especially after the Access Hollywood tape was leaked of the president-elect describing how he gropes women “by the p—y.”

The NFL, however, has denied these claims in a statement released to TMZ. “This is unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none,” the body said. “The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together. Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren’t going to be distracted by this.”

The NFL has often been in hot water following its halftime shows, starting in 2004 with Janet Jackson‘s infamous “wardrobe malfunction.” Then in 2012, british rapper M.I.A. came under fire for sticking up her middle finger during a performance with Madonna. And last year, Beyoncé‘s outfit made to look like Black Panther garb was criticized. “This is football, not Hollywood,”said former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani. He has yet to comment on Gaga’s assignment as halftime performer.
