Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performed a steamy duet of “Shallow” at the Oscars that had the world talking whether or not these two were an item.
Gaga addressed the rumors on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Show, the actress-singer, 32, said, “Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see.”
“Shallow is a love song, A Star Is Born is a love story,” she explained. “It was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time… When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel.”
The off-and on-screen chemistry between Cooper and Gaga sparked rumors that Cooper’s relationship with girlfriend, supermodel Irina Shayk with whom he shares a daughter with was on the rocks. Shayk unfollowing Gaga on Twitter, and Gaga’s engagement with fiancé Christian Carino ending all seemed to be evidence to the rumor.

Yet, after returning to his seat Cooper kissed Shayk, and Shayk even congratulated Gaga after she won an Oscar for Best Original Song. The love affair between Cooper and Gaga was just another Oscar worthy performance that had the audience even those close to the pair fooled.
“I’m an artist and I guess we did a good job,” she explained to Kimmel. “Fooled ya!”
