La La Anthony Says She Isn’t Ready To Divorce Carmelo Anthony

La La Anthony says she’s not ready to divorce Carmelo Anthony just yet.

After the pair split up in April, La La seemed open to reconciliation during her interview on The Wendy Williams Show on Tuesday. When asked if she’d be divorcing her NBA pro husband of seven years, La La replied, “Not right now. You know marriages are tough… it’s filled with ups and downs. We are just going through a time a right now.”

The 38-year-old actress shared that the Anthony’s biggest priority right now is their 10-year-old son Kiyan. “[He] and I are the best of friends and our No. 1 commitment is to our son, Kiyan, and we have to set an example for Kiyan and that’s what’s most important to me,” the TV personality shared. “I would absolutely never say a bad thing about my husband. That’s my son’s father and he is an amazing dad.”

Despite their split, La La maintains that she still loves Carmelo, 33. “I don’t know what the future holds, I just know that we are doing an incredible job again being parents to our son,” she continued. “We are the best of friends. I’ve been with Melo since he was 19-years-old. You’re not with somebody that long, and it just goes out the window. I love him with all my heart, and we are the best of friends.”

In addition, she shared that her husband’s desire to remain close to his son could affect his future in the NBA. Talks of the star being bought out of his contract with the New York Knicks could be affected by his wanting to stay close to his son. “That’s my priority, that’s his priority,” La La said, “so wherever he ends up, of course we want him to be happy.”

The couple has been together 12 years, and wed in 2010 in a lavish ceremony.
