The Kardashian family is now taking the stand and providing testimony in a lawsuit brought to them by Rob Kardashian’s ex, Blac Chyna. On the stand Monday, Kylie Jenner claimed that Chyna, birth name Angela White, sent her threatening text messages. Jenner was romantically linked to a former boyfriend of Chyna’s, rapper Tyga, for two years directly after Tyga and Chyna broke up.

“I remember one time I woke up to threatening texts,” Kylie recalled. “From what I remember, she sent me a bunch of devil emojis and said something like, ‘Counting down the days’ to either beat me or something.” Jenner added that she didn’t call the police on Chyna because “I took it as an empty threat,” and also said, “I assumed she was probably high.”

Jenner also stated that she believed Chyna’s relationship with Rob Kardashian was never genuine. She posited that the only reason Chyna struck up a relationship with Rob was in retaliation for herself getting with Tyga. These threats were first mentioned by family matriarch Kris Jenner when she spoke in court last Thursday, but when pressed about how many threats were received she said “You’d have to ask Kylie.” She also denied having the pull to be able to get E! executives to cancel any shows.

The family was also questioned about emails both Kylie and Khloé Kardashian sent to a former E! executive, Jeff Olde, who was apparently behind the first greenlight of Rob & Chyna. In the message read aloud in court, Jenner seemed to offer more screentime in exchange for Chyna’s ouster. “We all know filming isn’t my favorite, but I’ll sacrifice and give you episodes and stories,” Jenner said, adding that her sisters would be happy to film more as well. Khloé’s email was similarly critical of Chyna and said she and her sisters are “concerned for our brother’s safety and the credibility of the brand.”

Olde also testified on Monday and claimed that these emails made no impact on his decision to cease filming of Rob & Chyna season 2. He said that the couple’s bitter split was a contrast from the “fun, lighthearted,” content they wanted from the show and that he would have let it continue if they had managed to reconcile.

Last week, the court also discussed alleged instances of physical abuse by Chyna against Kardashian, including threatening him with an unloaded handgun pointed at his face and wrapping an iPhone charging cord around his neck, both of which she admitted to but has claimed were done in jest. Chyna has also accused Rob of abuse of his own including sharing her nudes online after their breakup, and of an instance of physical abuse where he allegedly threw her to the ground and tore her bedroom door off its hinges when she locked herself inside.

Chyna filed the suit in 2017, one year after the single Rob & Chyna season was released. The show chronicled their meeting, quick romance and sudden pregnancy, but the pair had split and was embroiled in a bitter feud by the time the series had even aired. She is seeking about $110 million in damages from Rob and the Kardashian clan plus an additional $36 million for emotional distress.
