Kylie Jenner Shines In $5 Million Worth Of Diamonds At The 2019 Met Gala

Billionaire Kylie Jenner did not hold back when it came to her look for this year’s Met Gala!

The 21-year-old reality TV star, who was recently named the world’s youngest billionaire, wore almost $5 million worth of jewelry on the Met Gala red carpet.

Jenner’s arrived at the event wearing a purple mermaid-esque Versace dress that featured mesh and purple feathers, with approximately $4.9 million worth of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

The mother-of-one paired her dress with Lorraine Schwartz earrings with diamonds and purple sapphire that had over 70 carats, according to Forbes. She also sported a purple sapphire and diamond ring and completed her look with a dainty pinky ring. 

While walking the red carpet, Jenner was joined by her boyfriend, Travis Scott, who opted for a top, trousers and leather gloves, topped off with a harness.

Since debuting her 2019 Met Gala look, many have compared Jenner’s look to Lil’ Kim’s iconic purple outfit that she wore to the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.

On Monday night, many Twitter users took to Twitter to make comparisons between Jenner’s curve-hugging gown and Kim’s printed long-sleeve jumpsuit worn with a pastie over her left breast.

“Kylie Jenner #metgala look reminds me of lil Kim look from the 1999 MTV music award,” one user wrote.

“Why is @KylieJenner giving me 1999 #VMA Lil Kim vibes????? All I can see in my head is the purple jumpsuit.. Not sure how I feel about the look…” another wrote.

While on the red carpet, Jenner’s sister Kendall revealed that she and Jenner were involved in the design process for their looks with Versace before the big night.

“We kinda decided to go for it. Kylie and I worked on it and we came up with a fun vibe with Donatella [Versace],” Kendall told E! “My dress has a lot of feathers at the bottom, so I almost tripped myself but, yeah.”

“I can’t breath a little bit, but I feel good,” Jenner added.
