Forbes Magazine has published their annual list of the world’s richest people, and it’s mainly exactly what everyone had expected. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos comes in as the richest person in the world, followed closely by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett. But all the way down at number 2,057 (with a net worth of $1 billion) is none other than social media star Kylie Jenner.

Kylie Jenner News & Photos

Twenty-one-year-old Jenner, who was born into a wealthy family as the youngest daughter of Kris and Caitlyn (nee Bruce) Jenner, is officially the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. According to Forbes, Jenner made her fortune mostly through her Kylie Cosmetics line, which is currently worth about $900 million (and Jenner owns a 100% stake). Forbes credits her as being a “self-made” billionaire, claiming that although she came from wealthy roots, she “leveraged her 177 million social media followers to create her own billion-dollar fortune.”

While some might question Forbes’ “self-made” categorization for Jenner, there’s no denying that she’s made a name for herself. Her sister, Kim Kardashian West, clocks in as the second-wealthiest member of the family, with a net worth of $350 million in 2018. And the list praising Jenner’s accomplishments seems to have come just in time, right while the family has been reeling from the news that Khloe Kardashian‘s boyfriend Tristan Thompson cheated on her with Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods. The news also comes right off the heels of reports that Jenner’s own husband, rapper Travis Scott, had cheated on her – allegations Scott has since denied.
