Kylie Jenner is reportedly getting ready to walk away from modeling to be a pop star, telling friends she wants to be “the next Katy Perry.”

Kylie Jenner Wants To Be A Singer

Kylie, 17, the youngest of the Keeping Up With The Kardashian clan, has been dabbling in modeling, designing and writing, mostly with her sister Kendall Jenner, but now it seems she wants to move out of the modeling world and leave the runway to Kendall.

“She [Kylie] realized that she can’t compete with Kendall when it comes to modeling. So she has chosen to turn to music. The whole family is really supportive of the decision,” a source told Radar Online.

Both Jenner sisters started modeling around the same time, when they were in their early teens, but Kendall, 18, moved towards high fashion, runway modeling as Kylie mostly stayed away from the runway, focusing on catalogue work instead. Now it seems Kylie is moving on from modeling entirely.

Kylie Jenner Working With Producer Tim Carter

And, while Kendall has been walking the runways of New York Fashion Week and more, Kylie has now turned her attention to singing, and has been working with a vocal coach. “Kylie has found her calling in life – to be a singer,” the source, who claims to be a friend of Kylie’s, added.

The source also revealed that Kylie has enlisted the help of producer Tim Carter, who worked with Willow Smith on her hit “Whip My Hair,” and has previously worked with Kanye West and Beyoncé.

Kylie is reportedly working on her first single, and “is telling everyone that she knows she is going to be the next Katy Perry.”

Kylie has not responded to the reports.
