Kristen Wiig Confirms Marriage To Avi Rothman

Actress Kristen Wiig confirmed that she is married to Avi Rothman while doing an interview on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday. Wiig and Rothman dated for three years and got engaged in 2019.

Wiig also discussed motherhood, since her and Rothman welcomed twins via surrogate in January 2020.

“Besides the fact that we are where we are – it’s hard to not feel so much of the s— and struggle that’s going on – in my home, I’m very lucky about having these two babies and my husband,” Wiig said. “They make it all better. It’s changed my life.”

Wiig discussed being a working mother, saying she is not a present as she would like to be and that she worries her children will forget her if she’s gone.

“I am nervous about actually leaving and going to work, when that happens, because there’s something really nice about just being home with them all that time,” she said. “But that time is coming and I’m gonna do my best to balance and they will come first.”

Rothman is a writer, actor, producer and director who trained at the Groundlings theater in Los Angeles.

Wiig was previously married to Hayes Hargrove. They married in 2005 and divorced in 2009.
