Kris Jenner’s Former Assistant, Maddie Steitz, Shares Her Experience Working For The Kardashian Family Matriarch

Madeline ‘Maddie’ Steitz, worked as Kris Jenner‘s personal assistant from February to April 2022 and gained attention on TikTok when she revealed some of the valuable lessons she learned from Jenner in her three-month tenure.

In her videos, Steitz, who hails from Washington but now resides in Venice Beach, California, delved deep into her employment with the influential mogul.

She recounted, “I would literally have nightmares about all the Kardashians because I just couldn’t stop thinking about them all the time. But that’s just part of being a personal assistant.”

Steitz made it clear that the nightmares did not stem from her treatment.

“It’s totally part of the job, no matter who you work for… Their whole life is your life,” she shared. “One person I used to work for, the lock on their front door would sometimes get stuck and I would think about it at the most random times and not be able to go to sleep because I would be afraid their front door was unlocked.”

Steitz also explained her efforts to familiarize herself with fashion designer names, as she had grown up in a small town with limited exposure to luxury brands. She studied for hours and created a PowerPoint presentation to learn the correct pronunciation of designers’ names like Versace, Gucci and Goyard.

While Steitz acknowledged the perks of the position, she made it clear that the job is much less glamorous than the media makes it out to be and is mostly made up of mundane tasks such as errands, laundry and organization.

She reminded her viewers that personal assistants are responsible for the tasks their employers prefer not to do.

“You don’t get to live this perfect dream life from being close to someone who is living the perfect dream life,” she said.

Steitz explained she scored the position after she graduated from Washington State University with a degree in political science and criminal justice, while she worked in retail in Los Angeles. A customer she bonded with happened to need a personal assistant and offered her the position.

“We went to lunch and chatted and we just got along so well,” she said. “I feel like that’s the [most important] step, you need to work for someone you really admire…”

Steitz also worked for the CEO of Hireforce and popular YouTuber Louis Cole and had positions at Thiel Capital, an investment firm, before she worked as Jenner’s personal assistant.

After her time with Jenner, Steitz decided to venture into entrepreneurship and started her own business, Maddie’s Natural Sweetener.
