A knife-thrower almost killed his assistant while performing for Lithuania’s Got Talent on Lithuanian television, and the stressful video has now gone viral.

Knife Throwing Act Gone Wrong

The three-man act was performing for the talent show, and all appeared to be going smoothly until one of them took his place in front of the wooden panel while another threw knives, getting closer and closer to his body each time. Eventually, one of the knives knicks the assistant’s finger, but the injury appears minor, and they continue with the act.

It isn’t until over a minute later that the assistant gets whacked in the head with a knife, causing the audience to gasp audibly. Luckily, the throw was off, so the knife appeared to simply bounce off his forehead, and he managed to keep his cool, but the audience was clearly shaken.

In the video below, the act begins around 3 minutes in, his finger gets cut at the 5:43 mark, and skip to 7:29 to see the near-death experience.

Translation of the clip has not been found, but the judges were clearly concerned at the end of the performance, and the group did not move on to the next round.
