Kiss Frontman Gene Simmons Banned From Fox News
Kiss frontman Gene Simmons, whose real name is Chaim Witz, has been banned from Fox News and Fox Business Network programs. The networks reportedly can no longer tolerate his rock-star antics.
Fox had finally had enough after Simmons insulted a female Fox staffer. He taunted her and exposed his chest, behaving like a “demon” character like the one he plays onstage. Management was not amused and Simmons’ photograph was promptly posted Wednesday at the security entrance of the company’s Manhattan headquarters along with a “do-not-admit” advisory.
On Wednesday morning after Simmons appeared on Fox & Friends and Maria Bartiromo‘s Fox Business Network show, Morning with Maria, to promote his new book On Power. things seemed to be going well during the shows until Simmons jumped up from the couch to assist meteorologist Janice Dean in doing her weather report. Dean later posted a video on Twitter about the incident.
Simmons then went on to sit on a panel with Bartiromo, who asked about his views on the Harvey Weinstein sexual-misconduct scandal. He answered, “The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out… Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious… Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.”
“Hey chicks, sue me!” he shouted while pulling open his red velvet shirt to reveal his chest and stomach, according to the source. He then went on to start telling Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes and hit two employees on the top of their heads with his book, while making comments about their comparative intelligence.
