Kristen Wiig, the star of Ghostbisters, will host Saturday Night Live on Nov. 19, NBC announced Thursday.
The xx, whose album The Coexist is due out Jan. 13, will perform on the show that week.
Wiig was a cast member on SNL for seven years before she left in 2012. Her characters included the Target Lady, an eccentric Target cashier; Penelope, a woman with a hair-touching tic who has to one-up everyone she meets; and Gilly, a horrendously annoying child with a terrible catchphrase.
Wiig hosted the show in 2013, and this is her first return since then. This week’s episode of the show will focus on the recent presidential election, and will air 11:30 p.m. on NBC.
