It's shaping up to be a royal year for The King's Speech.

The movie, directed by Tom Hooper, earned the most nominations for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, tying with David O. Russell's The Fighter at four each. Rosario Dawson and Angie Harmon announced the nominations Thursday morning at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.

Both of the leading movies were nominated for Ouststanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, the SAG Awards' "Best Picture" equivalent. Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan and Lisa Cholodenko's The Kids Are All Right were recognized in kind, following with three nominations each, including a nod for Mark Ruffalo (pictured) as Best Supporting Actor. Rounding out the category was David Fincher's The Social Network, for which Jesse Eisenberg was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.

Hit show Modern Family reigned supreme, leading the television categories with four nominations, followed by old favorites Dexter, 30 Rock, Mad Men, and Glee, which each garnered three nominations. HBO's new Boardwalk Empire, followed with two nods.

The SAG Awards differ from other awards shows in that it provides a forum for actors to vote for other actors, honoring their peers. In past years, SAG has foreshadowed the Oscars even more closely than the Golden Globes. The show will air on both TNT and TBS on January 30, 2011. —KIMBERLY STEELE
