Kim Kardashian West Speaks At The White House On Helping Ex-Prisoners Find Employment
Kim Kardashian West has shifted her career gears and is pursuing her interest in law. Kardashian West has been working with the White House to help support the re-entry of the formerly incarcerated into the business world.
On June 13, Kardashian West spoke at the Second Chance Hiring and Re-Entry Event at the White House, and with the help of President Donald Trump, a new partnership for the formerly incarcerated has been created.
During her speech, Kardashian West shared that she had spent some time going to different prisons, which is what encouraged her to study law. “For me, I’m at the place in my life where I wanted to make a difference and just wanted to do the right thing,” Kardashian West said. “But I didn’t know how or what to do or even really what was going on.”
She has begun studying at a law school in California and has been learning how to get bills passed. “Whether it’s housing or the amount of letters that I get with people just needing transportation to job interviews… these people want to work. They want to want the best outcome,” Kardashian West said.
