Last week, reality star Kim Kardashian turned heads at the Met Gala in a John Galliano for Maison Margiela dress that looked incredibly uncomfortable and drew significant backlash online from fans.
The gown’s corset cinched her waist so tight that it almost looked painful on the Met Gala carpet. Some fans were angry over the “unrealistic” and “unhealthy” beauty standards Kardashian demonstrated that night, others questioned the strange gray sweater with obvious piling Kardashian wore on top of the gown, which seemed inappropriate for the event.
Kardashian’s explanation for the outfit seemed odd as well.
“This is like the wildest night of my life in a garden,” Kardashian said about her dress. “And I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on. And had to get to work. My hair’s all messed up.”
Kardashian was also sporting icy blonde waist length waves with a braid in the back of her hair.
