Kim Kardashian Slammed For ‘Bizarre,’ ‘Sacrilegious’ Video Of ‘Santa Baby’ With Macaulay Culkin

Kim Kardashian recently debuted a cover of “Santa Baby” with a bizarre twist.

A few days before the holidays, aided by her brother-in-law, Travis Barker, Kardashian starred in an eerie house party-style music video wearing a blond bob wig as she slowly crawled across the floor on her hands and knees, smoldered in a blue top and beige leggings that exposed her underwear and heels, on her way to reach Santa Claus.

Footage behind her showed strange events, including a woman dressed as the Virgin Mary standing next to a donkey and a man dressed as an elf sitting on a kitchen counter eating cereal. At the same time, another fixes the sink, scantily clad women play Twister, a person obsessively trims a Christmas tree until it’s almost bare, and a man gets a haircut. One of the themes of the video is money, which is shown all over the floor with a scene of two people fighting about the cash.

When Kardashian reaches Saint Nicholas and runs his fingers up his leg, the seated man reveals him to be Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin. Culkin stares at Kardashian with a blank expression before the video ends.

Reactions to the music video have been primarily negative, due to the imagery seen in the video. One scene where a man dressed as Jesus Christ raids the kitchen fridge earned many negative comments. Many have called the project “unhinged.”

“I think I just watched Kim crawl through a crackhouse,” one person wrote in the video’s Instagram comment section; another echoed, “This is disturbing. And she claims this is Christian. This is absurd.”

Kardashian has not explained the meaning of the video, but she has been incredibly open about her Christian faith.

“We don’t share it much, but we’re religious,” she told Vogue in an interview. “We start our day with a group chat with a Bible verse from my mom, and everyone chimes in on the meaning of it. We are very Christian, and our work ethic and discipline come from many years at Catholic school.”
