Kim Kardashian shared a heartfelt quote about motherhood on Saturday via her Instagram Stories.
The quote featured a touching message: “The sad part about motherhood is that you’re raising the one person you can’t live without… to be able to live without you.” Kardashian added a teary-eyed emoji to the post.
This reflection came shortly after it was shared that Kardashian is “pretty much a single mom” as her ex-husband Kanye West is “sadly not around very much” to help raise their four children—North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.
In May 2023, Kardashian opened up on the challenges of single parenting during an appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, where she admitted that she sometimes cries herself to sleep.
“Obviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful… but at the end of the day, your kids only want you,” she explained.
“The struggles that my kids go through really have nothing to do with the amount of help that I have.”
Kardashian and West, who were married in May 2014, finalized their divorce in November 2022 after Kardashian initiated the split in February 2021.
The former couple agreed to share joint custody with “equal access” to their children, according to court documents.
West, known for his Yeezy brand, agreed to provide $200,000 monthly in child support and cover half of the children’s educational and security expenses.
