Kim Kardashian opened up about her relationship with her brother Rob Kardashian after he chose not to attend her lavish wedding to Kanye West in May.

Kim Kardashian Explains Her Relationship With Rob

Kim recently appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to promote Keeping Up With The Kardashians, where the newlywed reality star was asked about her relationship with her brother, Rob.

“My brother and I are so close. He is one of my best friends. When you film so much, and he’s not on that much, you only see the juicy parts,” Kim began, suggesting that her onscreen relationship with Rob doesn’t tell the whole story.

Kim went on to admit that she does struggle to understand Rob and his bouts of extreme self-loathing, and the difference of their personalities sometimes makes it seem like she is being unsympathetic towards her brother.

“I’m a tough love kind of person. If I don’t like something that’s going on in my life, I change it, and I don’t sit and complain about it for a year. I’m just a different personality so I try to encourage him. And, once you don’t just make that change…I just get frustrated. My patience just runs out,” Kim told Cohen.

Kim Says Rob Sent Her An E-mail Before Leaving Her Wedding

Rob’s struggles concerning his anxiety and weight gain have been documented on the show, and many speculated that Rob left Kim’s wedding after being bullied for his weight gain.

When Cohen pressed Kim about Rob ditching her wedding, Kim insisted that she completely understood why Rob felt he couldn’t attend and that she was never angry.

“He sent me a long e-mail the morning of that he was going to leave. There was no fight. I just thought, ‘You know what, this is my day, I’m not even going to worry about it. I totally understand that he wouldn’t want to see a lot of people if he was feeling uncomfortable and you can only pray and wish that someone would not miss out on more memories in life, because life is about memories,” Kim said.

During her chat with Cohen, Kim also revealed that she and West were eagerly awaiting baby number two, saying, “We’re having fun trying!”
