Kim Kardashian Deletes Tweet About Manchester After Backlash

Kim Kardashian deleted a tweet she posted in response to the Manchester attacks at an Ariana Grande concert.

Kardashian was one of dozens of celebrities who tweeted out their prayers and well-wishes for the families affected by the tragedy. She, in fact, originally posted three, and it was the last that people took issue with.

“I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids,” said the first. Then, “I’m praying for everyone in Manchester. This is truly so senseless & heart breaking.” And lastly, she posted a photo of herself with Grande, and captioned it, “Concerts are supposed to be a place where u can let loose & have fun. So scared to not feel safe in this world. @arianagrande I love you.”

No critics seemed to mention the first two tweets, but called Kardashian out for being narcissistic because she posted a photo of herself. “The need for you to post a pic of yourself…disgusting,” wrote on Twitter user. “Kim Kardashian is the only person who would post a picture of themselves as a “tribute” to the Manchester bombing… actually sad,” said another. “The malfunction of @KimKardashian with her Narcissistic personality disorder is disgusting,” wrote a third with a screenshot of the original tweet.

Other celebrities, however, posted very similar sentiments about the safety of concerts and their love for Grande, and also posted photos of themselves with Grande. Yet no major backlash came for them. Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato are in that camp.

Kardashian’s Twitter responses and Instagram (where she also posted the photo and words) comments were full of negativity and anger, so the star deleted both posts.
