Kim Kardashian set out to ‘break the Internet’ on Tuesday with a racy new cover of Paper Magazine that shows off her naked backside.
Kardashian shot two different covers, both from French photographer Jean-Paul Goude, that were unleashed to the public on Tuesday with the headline “Break The Internet Kim Kardashian.” One cover shows Kardashian posting nude, with her back to the camera, wearing black gloves, a string of pearls chokers and earring. The reality bombshell appears to be taking off or putting on a black evening gown, which covers her thighs, putting her butt on full display. The cover quickly went viral, inspiring Internet memes and Twitter jokes. Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, commented on the photo by simply posting it on Twitter with the caption “#ALLDAY.”
The second cover also created a splash. On the second cover, Kardashian appears to have finally put on her black evening gown and appears fully covered. What makes the photo provocative is the champagne bottle in her hands and the champagne glass balanced on her derrière.
The photo is actually a recreation of a famous photograph by Goude, and Kardashian joked about the photo on Twitter, writing, “And they say I didn’t have a talent…try balancing a champagne glass on your ass.”
One person not amused by the daring cover is Naya Rivera, who reportedly commented on Kardashian’s nude cover on Instagram, writing, “I normally don’t. But…you’re someone’s mother…” Rivera has neither confirmed nor denied she wrote the comment. Meanwhile, Internet reactions ranged from adoration to disgust, but Twitter had mostly humorous responses, giving Kardashian’s controversial cover the meme treatment.
