Reality star Kim Kardashian admitted that she was uncomfortable in the corset she wore to last year’s Met Gala.

In early May 2024, Kardashian received attention at the Met Gala in a John Galliano for Maison Margiela dress, which looked extremely uncomfortable and drew massive backlash online from her fans.

The gown’s corset cinched her waist so tightly that it nearly looked painful on the Met Gala carpet.

Some fans were angered over the “unrealistic” and “unhealthy” beauty standards she displayed that night. Others asked about the strange gray sweater with piling she wore on top of the gown, which appeared to be inappropriate for the event.

During a confessional on the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian talked about the corset she wore for the event.

“I’m not as uncomfortable as I might look,” she stated during a confessional, which took place before the event. “It’s definitely, like, a performance piece. I mean, God bless the Bridgerton cast that has to dress like this every single day. That would be so difficult, honestly.”

However, while standing inside the limo with friend LaLa Anthony after the event, Kardashian stated that she felt as if she would vomit.

During a confessional following the event, Kardashian admitted that the corset was very uncomfortable.

“I am claustrophobic,” she stated. “I’ve never felt this way, where I feel like I can’t breathe.”

“It’s like, I can handle it for so long, but I have to pee, I can’t breathe, I can’t get this off,” she added. “So this one, I was just like, ‘I’m going to die if you don’t get this off of me right now.'”

When the reality star and Anthony made it back to the hotel, she unbuttoned her corset, showing that her back was purple and that the corset had left indentations on it.

In another confessional, Kardashian was asked if the pain was worth it. She replied, saying, “Abso-f— ing-lately.”

“That’s just who I am,” she went on to say. “If you look good, it is all worth it.”
