Angelina Jolie made a surprise appearance and the cast of Modern Family got slimed at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2015, hosted by Nick Jonas.

KCA 2015 Highlights:

Nick Jonas hosted this year’s festivities, and was, of course, not exempt from being doused in the award show’s signature green goo. Jonas pulled triple duty on Saturday night: the former Jonas Brothers member not only hosted the event, he opened the show with a sexy performance of his hits “Chains” and “Jealous” and he took home the Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Male Singer.

Favorite Family TV Show winners, Modern Family, also got slimmed when accepting their orange blimp award. “Thank you so much for not sliming us, that is so sweet,” said cast member Jesse Tyler Ferguson right before the slime cannons began.

While the show featured star studded appearances from Emma Stone and Chris Pratt, the highlight of the show came when Angelina Jolie accepted the award for Favorite Villain for her role in Maleficent.

“Like Maleficent, I was told that I was different, and I felt out of place and too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. And then one day I realized something, something I hope you all realize: different is good…So don’t fit in, don’t sit still, don’t ever try to be less than what you are. And when someone tells you that you are different, smile and hold your head up and be proud,” Jolie told the crowd of screaming kids.

In honor of her Favorite Villain win, Jolie gave the audience one last piece of advice, saying with a smile, “Cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.”
