“Kid Oscars”: Watch Kids Reenact Best Picture Nominees
Kids reenact Oscar-nominated films Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game and Whiplash in CineFix’s newest viral video.
Kid Oscars: Kids Poke Fun At American Sniper
The three-minute short stars a handful of pre-pubescent children and features parodies of some of the 2015 Best Picture Oscar nominees. The opening scene from American Sniper pokes fun at the fake baby doll used in the film, closing with the girl playing the wife hitting her baby doll in the head, saying, “This thing’s plastic!”
Other highlights include a pint-sized Martin Luther King Jr. (Selma) references the film’s superstar producer and co-star Oprah Winfrey, and a young Stephen Hawking (The Theory of Everything) impersonator declaring to a room full of admirers, “I’ve made three children in this wheelchair. What have you done?”
The 87th Academy Awards, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will air live Sunday, Feb. 22 on ABC.
