KFC is being accused of including a fried rat in an order of chicken tenders by an unhappy customer.
Devorise Dixon, a California security guard, is the customer claiming that he went home with a rodent. On the Randy Economy Show, Dixon told listeners that he bought a three-piece chicken tender box from KFC and after taking a bite described the taste as, “very nasty.”
“I spit it out, then I looked down at my hand, and I realized that it was in a shape of a rat with a tail and everything in it,” Dixon recalled. Dixon later posted photographs of the fried rats on his Facebook page, the post read, “Went back to KFC yesterday and spoke to the manager she said it is a rat and apologized.” Dixon saved the tender and put it in the freezer, then returned to the restaurant with the evidence and his receipt. Not all was lost though when the manager offered Dixon a free meal. Dixon is reportedly lawyering up.
KFC defended themselves on their own Facebook page. “Our tenders often vary in size and shape, and we currently have no evidence to support this claim.”
So who is telling the truth? CNN noted that Dixon did not return their calls for comment. KFC says that they have made many attempts to contact Dixon, yet he is refusing to speak to them personally or through a lawyer. Dixon reportedly has refused to have his tender analyzed in a KFC lab.
