Comedian Kevin Hart revealed that he tested positive for coronavirus during an appearance on Dave Chappelle‘s outdoor comedy show An Intimate Socially Distanced Affair on Aug. 22.

Hart said he kept quiet about his March diagnosis because of Tom Hanks. “The problem is that I had it around the same time as Tom Hanks, and I couldn’t say anything because he’s more famous than I am,” the 41-year-old joked.

Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were among the first celebrities to announce testing positive for coronavirus. The pair took to Instagram on March 11, writing, “Hello, folks. @ritawilson and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

Hart spent most of his time in quarantine at home in Los Angeles with his wife Eniko Hart and their son Kenzo Hart. The couple is also expecting a baby girl due within the next month.
